LEAD AND SERVE

Community Service

Through Florida FCCLA’s Community Service projects, members are able to unify, guide, and serve their communities.

Participate in Florida FCCLA’s Community Service Project! Read below for more details.

State Initiative | Ronald McDonald House

In FCCLA, we are committed to making a positive impact in our community by getting involved. One way we can do this is through our yearly community service project. This year, FCCLA is partnering up with the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an incredible organization that helps families with kids who are going through medical treatments by giving them a place to stay, free of charge. By offering free housing for families in need, RMHC has successfully helped make a difference in the lives of millions of families worldwide each year. This partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities allows not just FCCLA, but everyone else who contributes, to help change the lives of thousands of families.

To help contribute to this year’s community service project, you can start by collecting pop tabs. Each pop tab counts, as their aluminum value can add up quickly. It might not seem like much, but when we collect enough, they can be recycled for money that aids RMHC in helping families in need while their children receive medical treatment. FCCLA is aiming to collect 500,000 pop tabs by the end of the year, and with your help we can make this possible. You can also make a difference by donating to your local FCCLA chapter. If you’re unsure of your local chapter, feel free to contact Kayla Goodwin, VP of Community Service, for any questions!

National Initiative | We Help Two Socks

For the second consecutive year FCCLA is partnering with We Help Two to make a positive change by selling funky socks. We Help Two was founded on the belief that fundraising can be done in a way that benefits two causes. Through their unique fundraising method, organizations not only raise funds for their cause but also impact their local community through their local sock donation program at no additional cost!
